As you may already be aware, we have begun working to transition our FirstWatch tools to a modern look and feel. These changes come as a result from your feedback, including from our Customer Satisfaction Survey sent out earlier this year, in which many of you asked to see a cleaner, more intuitive design. We have listened to your ideas, and are ready to roll out the first of many improvements. The goal of this ongoing redesign is not only to give our FirstWatch products a consistent look and feel, but also to provide users with a simple and beautiful user experience.
We’re announcing that the first stages of this new look and feel will be rolling out on October 12th, 2015, allowing for a smoother login process, and a cleaner look to help simplify the tools and reports you love. New features to be rolled out in this round of updates include:
New Login Page and Forgot Password Feature
• Simplified look and feel
• Ability to reset your password
*By entering your User ID and email, you will receive an automatic email that allows you to reset your password yourself, rather than calling our support team. *If you forget your username, you will still need to contact our support team as a matter of security
New Color Scheme
• New colors have been applied throughout the majority of the site.
• Add on modules will be enhanced soon.
Patient Safety Organization Logos
Patient Safety Organizations (PSO) are becoming an integral part of the safety of our patients and caregivers. We recently partnered in webinars with both organizations to share the benefits to becoming part of a PSO.
• If your agency is part of the two major PSOs EMERG or Center for Patient Safety, let us know and we can enable their logo to appear on your FirstWatch pages. This helps protects your FirstWatch data from legal discovery.
• If your agency is part of a different PSO, or has a different peer review/quality process, we created a generic “Q” quality logo to your FirstWatch pages, with customizable text to meet your agency’s needs.
Software Recommendations: In order to experience optimal usability with these updates, we recommend launching your FirstWatch system using Internet Explorer 10 or above or Chrome. When using any other platforms, you may experience variations in layout, resolution, functionality, etc.
Please note that none of the above changes will affect how you use your FirstWatch system.
As we mentioned, these changes are just the beginning. Over time, we will be rolling out a number of additional updates to our main FirstWatch system, our Mapping tools, FirstPass (like new messaging features) and much more. Additionally, we are in the process of creating our new Interactive Data View (IDV), which we shared with folks at the Pinnacle EMS Leadership Conference in August.
