Special Post Class EMS Roundtable
Hosted by FirstWatch
To get the most from this program FirstWatch will be hosting a FREE online roundtable after each of the IHI-HarvardX sessions! We held these during the course last year and here’s what participant had to say:

“It was an excellent course that was well designed for those with differing levels of experience using data tracking including the novice. The EMS component was exceptionally helpful in allowing real world application from industry leaders to help facilitate learning from each of the course modules.” – Con Olson, Jackson County EMS

“This invaluable course is a must take for EMS leaders. Mastering QI strategies are as vital to leading our organizations as blood pressures and cardiac rhythms are to treating our patients. The team at FirstWatch brought classmates together with industry experts – like Mike Taigman, Dave Williams, and Jonathan Washko adding an incredible personal value to the course;  providing additional insight, tips, and the EMS perspective. The weekly WebEx facilitated accelerated learning with the confidence for immediate implementation.” – Bob Holloway, Presence Health

“The facilitators who all had an EMS background were top-notch.  It wasn’t just them spitting out information at us. Rather we all learned from each other by asking and working through our questions.  If you are serious about EMS performance improvement I whole heartedly recommend taking both the class and add-on webinar.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!” – Anthony Cascio, Virtua EMS

These roundtable discussions will be moderated by FirstWatch Improvement Guide and IHI Improvement Advisor Mike Taigman with expert faculty:

Joe Penner, IHI Improvement Advisor, MEDIC
Ernie Rodriguez, IHI Improvement Advisor, Austin-Travis County EMS
Todd Stout, President/CEO, FirstWatch
Jonathan Washko, Northwell Health, CEMS

Dave Williams, PhD, EMT-P, for Executive Director/Improvement Advisor-Improvement Science and Methods with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, will join us as a special guest!

During these conversations we will explore how what you’ve learned from the HarvardX presentation applies in your EMS organization, how you can make dramatic improvements in almost any area of your service, and how we can support each other’s learning. Let us know that you’re interested and we will send you the dates, times, and log in details for each EMS Roundtable (*You must sign up yourself for the HarvardX course). The roundtables will be held each Wednesday at 9 am Pacific Time starting April 25. This is going to be fun, we hope that you join us!
