Mike Taigman and I have been friends for more than 35 years, and I don’t know anyone who cares more about people in general, and emergency services folks specifically, than Mike. When you meet Mike, you can tell right away that he is genuine and caring, and he has a unique ability to listen. Really listen, in a way that few people do. He’s also a lifelong learner and teacher, and for many years has focused his considerable attention on the issue of improving emergency services and health care provider wellness and building resilience. He has taught thousands of people evidence-based, practical ways to improve their resilience and reduce their stress. When COVID-19 happened, he and his brilliant wife, Sascha Liebowitz, decided they needed to help even more people than they could with classes and webinars, and wrote this amazing and practical book, Super-Charge Your Stress Management in the Age of COVID-19.
If you want to help yourself, your loved ones, and your friends and colleagues, I highly recommend that you read and share Mike & Sascha’s book. You can learn more by clicking the link below to go to their website.
PS. Mike leads our ResilientFirst efforts at FirstWatch, is our Improvement Guide, and helps our own team and hundreds of emergency services customer agencies improve and provide increasingly better care to those that we all serve, but this book is his own project with Sascha, and we’re honored and proud to recommend it.
