Our team is committed to customer service
FirstWatch team members have more than 300 combined years of experience in public safety and software technology. Their role — from the engineers to customer support representatives — is to provide solutions, drawing upon their technology expertise and real-world experience in public safety to address your agency’s unique situations. Clients have called FirstWatch their “lifeline,” with team members who understand their needs and won’t rest until a solution is found.
Our dedicated FirstWatch team is a critical component to our success! We’re all about doing the right thing, for the right reason for our customers, their patients, the citizens they serve – and each other.

FirstWatch Gives Back
FirstWatch gives back…it’s just part of our culture.
Many of our FirstWatch team members come from public safety backgrounds–former paramedics and EMTs, EMS directors and communication center managers. We even have a former Chief of Police! So it comes as no surprise that these folks — who dedicated themselves to helping people in their prior public safety careers — bring these traits with them to FirstWatch.
From humble beginnings helping others (and our customers), giving back has been an important part of our team members’ lives for years. Our talented and dedicated team has spent countless hours donating time, money, leadership and energy to a variety of programs, including EMS and public safety industry groups, youth sports, community organizations, church groups, and major national non-profit organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
The FirstWatch Gives Back (FWGB) program formally began in 2011 and was based on a timely, simple suggestion to scale back our annual holiday party and donate the money we would have spent on this activity to benefit others.
In 2015, our FirstWatch team was able to give back in a number of ways. Our largest contribution was made possible by those who completed our Customer Satisfaction Survey. For every survey that was completed, we committed to donate $5 to the charity of that individuals choice. We were able to make donations to the following charities: National EMS Memorial Fund, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Make-A-Wish, Wounded Warrior Project and Doctor's Without Borders.
In addition to these donations, we felt very lucky to help be a part of "Adopting" a well deserving, local AMR San Diego family during the holiday season, who, after undergoing a major transplant surgery was left with numerous health bills.
In honor of EMS Week this year, FirstWatch hosted a pancake breakfast for local customer Rural/Metro San Diego and a pizza lunch for another local customer, AMR San Diego. Check back for more updates on our plans for FWGB later this year.
In 2013 FirstWatch purchased and donated an AED for San Diego Project HeartBeat in order to be placed somewhere in the community for folks to have access to. Wanting to give back again to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, we were able to raise $1,000 as a result of customers participating in our 2013 customer satisfaction survey. We offered to donate $10 per survey taken and our customers were more than willing to help.
FirstWatch held a Food Drive during the last week of our office being open before the holiday season began. In that short period of time we were able to collect 104 pounds of that we donated to Feeding America San Diego, an organization that provides meals to 73,000+ children, families and seniors in need each week.
In its first year, guided by team member feedback, FWGB selected two non-profit charitable organizations to contribute to: Make-A-Wish Foundation™ of San Diego and San Diego Project Heart Beat. Each charity not only received a donation from FWGB, but our legal team at Duane Morris, led by Stuart Sorenson, matched our donation to each charity! We were lucky enough to sponsor wish child Robert on his trip to Disneyland.
