Ryan Maloney came to FirstWatch in 2014 with 21 years of experience in the public safety industry. With a special focus on clinical work, Ryan aims to give our customers the ability to focus on what is important in their particular service so that they can spend less time trying to determine where they can improve. “It is my job to help our customers determine the best way to utilize their data,” says Ryan. “Anytime you reach that ‘ah-ha’ moment with a customer where you are solving a problem together, that’s where the magic happens.”

When he first started college, it was Ryan’s dream to become a radio broadcaster. Somewhere along the way though, Ryan began volunteering for his local fire department – his career in EMS was born. In order to turn his passion for helping others into a career, Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services from the University of New Mexico. After well over two decades now of working in the public safety industry, Ryan has held a number of positions: a ski patroller, an EMT in a busy rural service, a paramedic in a busy urban service, a flight paramedic and a paramedic educator.

When he’s not at work you can find Ryan with his wife and son Ethan exploring the beaches of San Diego. “Our son Ethan loves to explore, something he got from the two of us. Each day he teaches us something new or reminds us of the simple pleasures of life we all take for granted.” As a family they have a passion for travel that continues to take them on new journeys. On the weekends, they love to take road trips to anywhere they’ve never been before.

“Ryan’s passion for helping others comes through in his work.  He is focused on providing clinical data solutions to our customers in ways that they’ve never been able to do before.  He is a natural educator and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and solutions to help others achieve success.”
