Daniel specializes in Report development for our customers. Working closely with our Lead Report Developer, Jon Baker, Daniel sees it as his mission to help our clients make educated decisions regarding their business by using the data they are already capturing. As Daniel says, “My part for helping our clients is to lay out their data in a presentable way that tells the story of what they want to see – Reports are just one of the tools we offer our clients to do that.”
Daniel fell into the industry by accident when he took an EMT class as a pre-requisite to start athletic training courses at his local junior college. After completing his first ride-along, he realized how effective EMS workers can be for people in need. “Once I saw that, I was hooked!” After working eight plus years in a variety of positions in EMS, like volunteer firefighter/EMT, pay-per call EMT, and dispatcher, Daniel then moved his focus to data where he became the EMS Data Specialist at his local EMS agency for twelve and a half years. Before coming to FirstWatch, Daniel tried taking a break from public safety hoping to explore other interests, but that did not last for long…“I love working in the public safety sector – the people in public safety are the best to work with!”
When he’s not at work with his FirstWatch family, Daniel calls his wife, two daughters and son home. His oldest daughter, a former softball player, allowed their family to turn the many road trips to her games into a passion. They love to travel the country in their car to explore new places, and go on cruises too! Now that the families softball days are over (Daniel even previously worked as the president/webmaster for the local youth softball league) they spend their time watching their youngest daughter ride horses and their son act in plays and sing in the choir. If they could all take any trip together when getting a break from the activities, they would take a month to road-trip-it around the country to wherever the road took them!
